Veteran motor sports executive, Kas Kastner brings nearly 50 years of experience to his consulting role with DWRA. A ranking amateur road racer in his own right, Kastner was in charge of Triumph's U.S. racing operation from 1960 to 1970, when he turned his attention toward independent team management. his experience spanned SCCA-USAC Formula 5000, Can-Am and Indy Car competition (including the Indianapolis 500).

Kastner turned his attention to the design and marketing of turbo systems from 1974 to 1985, producing retrofit turbocharger systems and a line of street performance components.   He returned to motor sports full time in 1986 as Nissan's national motor sports manager. Under Kastner's leadership, Nissan secured an unprecedented four consecutive drivers championships and three consecutive manufacturers championships in the highly-competitive International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) Prototype Series.

Until his 1994 retirement, Kastner was the executive vice-president of Nissan Performance Technology Inc. in Vista, CA, overseeing as many as 250 employees.
